josep ramon roig

tortosa, 1956.
from the poetic town of tortosa, he is one of the most distinguished oral poets who, at the beginning of the 90's, spread a new way to understand poetry, much closer to the audience. in his poems he works on rhythm, the tortosian accent, television and popular culture and a certain social bitterness. he calls it "sung music"; it's a very personal poetry, not far from sound poetry, with an aboriginal sense of humour. his work is based on spoken word and public readings -often named "poetic cabaret". however he has also published a book, malbé (ed. 62, 1999), awarded the ciutat de palma poetry prize, joan alcover 1998.

En un dia sense llum
Bat la malesa.
