one of this year’s novelties: a meeting point for poets and the public at large as well as a venue for letting oneself be carried away both by sound and image. the images are contributed by two photographers, consuelo bautista and xavier moreno and dj simón marino is responsible for the sound compiled from sound poetry recordings and other voices. with her pictures consuelo bautista has encapsulated the best part of the underground poetry scene in barcelona in the early 90’s, as well as co-organized of some readings and other cycles. xavier moreno has been responsible for documenting the poetic activity of the second half of that decade. dj simón marino, member of ooze.bâp records, will remix the recordings related to voice: sound poetry, lyrics, phonetic poetry, polypoetry… it will also serve as a presentation of mmmzzz…, a record consolidated by artists who work with voice in many different ways. early comers to each daily event will be given a free copy of this cd.
