ENDRE SZKÁROSI
Nascut a Budapest (Hongria) el 1952, Szkároski és poeta
i performer. És també professor de literatura i història
cultural italiana a la Universitat de Budapest. A començaments
dels anys 70 participà amb el grup de teatre experimental BROBO.
Des de mitjans dels 70 publica poemes i assaigs, i es comença
a interessar per la poesia sonora i el món multimedia. A principis
dels 80 crea el grup de poesia FÖLÖSPÉLDÁNY
(el duplicat).L’any 1984 crea també un grup de teatre
musical: KONNEKTOR. A principis dels 90 realitza treballs experimentals
com ara poemes-escultura, poesia espaial i transpoesia, exhibits en
esdeveniments culturals d’arreu d’Europa i Amèrica.
Des dels anys vuitanta es dedica també al vídeo-art
i organitza festivals d’art de caire internacional. L’any
1994 funda un nou grup musical: SPIRITUS NOISTER. Des de fa anys dirigeix
també un programa sobre poesia sonora a la ràdio nacional
hongaresa. Les experiències de la seva activitat artística
i educativa es troben unides en el continu desenvolupament de les
diverses formes d’ensenyament interacadèmic d’història
cultural contemporània. Col·labora amb TOWERING INFERNO
des de 1992.
Endre Szkároski was born in Budapest (Hungary) in 1952 and
he’s a poet and performer. He also lectures in University of
Budapest on Italian literature and cultural history. In the early
‘70s he participated in experimental theatre experiences with
the group BROBO. He’s also been publishing poems and critical
essays since the mid ‘70s.
In the early ‘80s he created the poetry group FÖLÖSPÉLDÁNY
(The Duplicate). Since the late ‘70s he’s been interested
in sound poetry and multimedia experimentations. In 1984 he founded
a concert theatre group: KONNEKTOR. In the early ‘90s he made
poem-sculptures, spatial poetry and transpoetry works, exhibited along
Europe and America. He`s also made video art works and organized a
great number of international art festivals. In 1994 he founded a
new band in Hungary: SPIRITUS NOSTER. Likewise, he’s been running
for years a sound poetry programme on the Hungarian national radio.
The experiences of his artistic and educational activity are united
in the continuos development of the various forms of interacademic
teaching of contemporary cultural history. He’s been collaborating
with TOWERING INFERNO since 1992.
